The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital will be holding an Employment Opportunities Open Day on Tuesday 14th February.

The event, which takes place between 9am and 12pm in the East Atrium of the hospital, is open to anyone looking to begin or continue their hospital career in Nursing or Allied Health Professions (AHP). The day is targeted towards students due to qualify this year, nurses seeking NMC registration either through a Return to Practice or Overseas programme and a range of associated health professionals, including radiographers and occupational therapists.

The event will provide tailored information on the range of opportunities available at the Trust. There will also be the chance to take a tour of the hospital, showcasing its state of the art facilities and extensive scope of expertise.

On show will be an exciting variety of stands and displays about the wards and departments within the hospital. Current members of staff will be available to answer questions and offer advice to prospective applicants. The Human Resources and Practice Development and Education teams will also be on hand to provide practical tips on the recruitment process, relocation and support.

To mark the date of the event, the hospital is encouraging visitors to come along and speak with current staff to find out what they love about working at NNUH. In the run up to the event, a social media campaign will be run via Twitter, giving a flavour of some of the opportunities on offer from the perspective of current staff members. Adam Perry, a Radiographer at NNUH, who is supporting the ‘Why we love NNUH’ campaign says: “I love working in a professional environment which makes a positive difference to peoples’ lives.”

Emma McKay, NNUH Director of Nursing said: “Our staff and culture are a large part of what enables us to provide the best care for our patients. We invest in our people and are committed to facilitating their development because we understand that helping them to become the best they can be, supports us to do the same as an organisation. We’re excited to welcome people to our Open Day and talk with them about what’s great about working at NNUH.”

Jeremy Over, Director of Workforce at NNUH said: “Our organisation flourishes because of the dedication, skill and exemplary care of our people and I’m amazed every day by the impact of what our staff achieve. We have some fantastic opportunities at NNUH for those looking for a collaborative, supportive and dynamic environment to start their career or begin a new chapter and I look forward to meeting future colleagues at our upcoming Open Day.”
