Two men have been charged following an assault in Norwich on Saturday 7 November 2020.

Officers were called to St Andrews Street at approximately 1.25pm following reports a bus driver had been assaulted.

On attendance an officer was assaulted and a taser was deployed to resolve the situation effectively and safely.

Jack Childs, aged 19 and of Cadogan Road in Cromer, has been charged with threatening behaviour, common assault, intentionally encouraging an offence and possession of a Class C drug.

Craig Callister, aged 29 and of Little Bull Close in Norwich, has been charged with assaulting an emergency worker.

Both men have been released on police bail and are due to appear at Norwich Magistrates Court on Monday 14 December 2020.
