Officers from the Joint Norfolk and Suffolk Major Investigation Team are continuing their investigation into the murder of a woman aged in her 20s which happened yesterday (Sunday 8 January 2017).
Officers were called to Southalls Way at 10.40pm, following reports a woman had sadly died.

After initial enquiries Detectives launched a murder investigation. A man in his 20s was subsequently arrested on suspicion of the murder and is currently being held in custody awaiting questioning.

T/Detective Chief Inspector, Marie James, said: “We are still in the early stages of our investigation and working to establish the sequence of events which led to this woman’s death.

I would be very keen to hear from anyone who may have any information that could assist with these enquiries, whether it concerns events leading up to the woman’s death or the incident itself.”

A seal remains in place at the property for forensic examinations to continue by crime scene investigators.

A Home Office Post Mortem examination will take place later today.
