Detectives are continuing to investigate the murder of a woman which happened in Brooke yesterday morning (Sunday 23 September).
Officers were called to a property on Churchill Place at around 10.30am following reports that a woman had been stabbed. On arrival, they discovered the body of a woman, who was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

A man in his 80s was arrested in connection with the incident and detained at Norfolk and Norwich Hospital. He has since been discharged and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

A Home Office post mortem examination to establish the exact cause of death is due to take place tomorrow, Tuesday 25 September. Formal identification is yet to take place.

A cordon has been put in place at the address while officers carry out their enquiries and this is likely to remain in place for the rest of the day.
