In Glasgow The Neutrinos hosted 12 daily performances of their new show Darkroom for Cop26. Now Norfolk’s art-rock mavericks are returning to their spiritual home, Norwich Arts Centre, for two separate shows on Saturday 11 December.

These will be presented as individual stand-alone shows. The first, at 4pm, will be a complete performance of their forthcoming album Ordinary Things to a seated audience, with the second an 8pm a standing show of two sets. First up will be a repeat of the Ordinary Things set followed by a full-on electric blast.

Lead singer Karen Reilly explained ‘During lockdown we made an album of all the songs that had fallen down the back of the sofa over the past few years.’ Titled Ordinary Things it’s anything but an everyday album, featuring the slower, quieter songs that populated the corners of our hit show KlangHaus’. Ordinary Things will be released early in 2022 ‘but we wanted to share these dreamy, lusciously orchestrated beauties with you now’, she added.

Karen continued ‘The second, full on loud electric set in the 8pm show will feature songs from another upcoming album we’re planning called Noise Please, an explosive release of words and noise plus elements of Darkroom. It’ll be loud, it’ll be quiet, it’ll be classic Neutrinos’.

‘A Neutrinos show will leave you dazed, shocked, maybe scared, but certainly thrilled’ World of Gigs, USA

The Neutrinos have been at the cutting edge of music making for 20 years. Their KlangHaus show deconstructed the way a rock gig works. It became a smash hit at the Edinburgh Festival before going on to sell out over 100 performances at London’s Royal Festival Hall. The Times described them as ‘A blast of aural and visual magic’ in a 5 star review.

After trialling it at UEA’s Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research, they took the revolutionary Darkroom to Glasgow’s COP26 UN Climate Conference. Designed to be seen by one person at a time Darkroom attracted audience members that included several conference delegates.

The Neutrinos are Jon Baker bass, synths, vocals; Mark Howe vocals, guitar; Jeron Gundersen drums, percussion; Karen Reilly vocals, percussion. They have been hailed as ‘total game changers’ by The Guardian and ‘truly outstanding’ by The Daily Telegraph

Please note there will be no support act for either show. The Neutrinos will be onstage at 4pm and 8pm promptly.
