The multi-award-winning master of mind control and psychological illusion Derren Brown is heading back to Norwich Theatre Royal.

His brand new show Underground is on stage from June 19 to 23 and mixes together some of his favourite work.

Derren aims to create a jaw-dropping experience of magical genius for his audience whether they are new to his work or big fans.

He explained: “Underground began as a show to take abroad for people who had not seen me. It is made up of all the best bits of the previous tours put together to form a new show with its own standalone integrity. The result, everyone felt, was so strong that we decided to tour it here.
“The material has been re-envisioned and re-worked and, by its nature, is different from night to night anyway. People who come after having seen those previous shows are telling me they are being caught out and surprised again which is great to hear.”

Derren’s live shows have previously won two Olivier Awards as well as plenty of nominations and he has performed at sold-out venues previously including Norwich Theatre Royal, and estimates his shows have now been seen by over a million people.

He has also enjoyed critical acclaim for his West End runs and enjoyed a successful stage debut at New York’s Atlantic Theater with the show Derren Brown: Secret.

John Bultitude, of Norwich Theatre Royal, said: “A master of mind manipulation, the only guarantee with one of Derren’s shows is that you have no idea how he achieves the impossible on stage. This will be a chance for both fans of Derren and people new to his work to be wowed and amazed by some spectacular illusions.”
