RHYTHM OF THE DANCE – JULY 10
A high-energy show celebrating the style, story and music of Celtic culture is set to return to Norwich Theatre Royal.
Rhythm Of The Dance tells the story of the Irish Celts through history in a richly costumed show mixing the ancient and contemporary.
The production, which takes to the stage on July 10, will help showcase the skill and style of Irish step dancing but presents it in a modern format which has helped make the production a must-see for almost 30 years.
It features a cast of top dancers, musicians and three Irish tenors, and has won critical acclaim having been performed across four continents in 26 countries and to over seven million fans.
Producer Kieran Cavanagh also continually renews Rhythm Of The Dance breathing new life into the choreography and exploring more musical options to make it an even more spectacular performance.
And its return to Norwich comes after the production has been performed in a wide range of venues including The Great Hall of the People in Beijing in China, the Kremlin Palace Theatre in Russia, the Closing Ceremony of the inaugural European Games in Azerbaijan, and the Dolly Parton theme park Dollywood in Tennessee, USA.
John Bultitude, of Norwich Theatre Royal, said: “History is never normally learned like this. Some incredible dance routines, beautiful singing and non-stop energy will help tell the story of Ireland’s strong cultural history while also giving audiences the chance to see some of the country’s top performing talent.”
