Chloe Smith, Member of Parliament for Norwich North is using her first week since the General Election to get straight back into constituency casework by holding her next surgery.

The surgery taking place on Friday, which can be attended by appointment, will give Chloe a chance to meet with constituents and discuss a wide variety of local and national issues.

Chloe regularly holds surgeries in a variety of locations including libraries, supermarkets, community centres and at community events.

Chloe is returning to constituency work after the General Election of 8th June, which saw her vote share increase for the third time, with 21,900 votes on 8th June; 19,052 in the 2015 General Election; and 17,280 in the 2010 General Election. However her majority over her Labour Opponent, Dr Chris Jones, fell to just 507 making the seat a marginal constituency for the next election.

Chloe comments: “I’m delighted and very proud to be re-elected MP for Norwich North and would like to thank everyone who voted in this election. I am honoured to have received more votes than before and I will continue to work hard for all my constituents. I will carry on getting results for Norwich, like when I’ve directly helped young people into work and secured huge investment in our transport so that more jobs come to Norwich in the future.

“I’ll continue to speak up in Parliament for Norwich North, especially for a good Brexit deal that will benefit us all right here at home in our city.

“I’m looking forward to working as much as ever across the whole community, so please get in touch.”

Update: Since our article was first published it has been announced that Chloe Smith is to become a Northern Ireland Minister if Theresa may succeeds in forming a viable new Government. Given the dependence of The Conservatives on the right-wing Northern Irish Democratic Unionist Party MPs to achieve Parliamentary majorities this is likely to be a challenging task.
