Norfolk County Council have issued another update about traffic disruption in the city centre as improvement works further reduce the bits of road that we can actually use:

“A reminder of potential delays in the city centre this evening due to this week’s programme of surfacing work in the Golden Ball Street/Ber Street area of Norwich.

Traffic lights will be in place during the evening peak both today and tomorrow (Friday 10 February) so drivers are being asked to plan ahead and allow extra time for their journeys where possible. The signals will be manned throughout the busiest time of the day to help keep traffic flowing as efficiently as possible.

Please click here to view the public information notice for the work, which started at the beginning of the week.

For more information about the project as a whole, please visit www.norfolk.gov.uk/goldenballstreet.

We would like to thank drivers for their patience and apologise for any inconvenience caused while this work takes place”.

As we go to press there are lengthening queues of motorists attempting to escape from the city centre.
