Police are investigating the death of a woman in Norwich.

 

Officers were called to an address in The Highfields shortly before 11pm yesterday (Saturday 15 February) to reports that a woman in her 60s had been found dead.

 

A man in his 60s has been arrested in connection with the death and was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

 

Enquiries to establish the exact circumstances leading up to the woman’s death are ongoing and a Home Office post mortem examination will take place in due course.

 

Initial enquiries have led officers to believe that this is an isolated incident and that those involved are known to one another.

 

A police cordon is currently in place at the address whilst enquiries continue.
