Buxton Road, Spixworth, will close to vehicles for two weeks from Monday 21 August for the tie-in and surfacing of the road realignment and bridge over the A1270 Norwich Northern Distributor Road (NDR).

Pedestrians and cyclists will still be able to use the shared path along Buxton Road, which will be diverted on to the segregated path over the new bridge.

The closure to vehicles will be between Beeston Lane and Arthurton Road, Spixworth. Special arrangements have been made for properties on Quaker Lane until access via Buxton Road has been restored.

Buxton Road/Spixworth Road traffic will be diverted on to the B1150 North Walsham Road via the B1354 in the north and White Woman Lane on the Norwich side of the closure.  To assist local traffic turning out of Crostwick Lane, Spixworth, temporary traffic lights will be in use on North Walsham Road. As far as possible, the North Walsham Road/NDR roundabout construction site will be kept free of traffic control during the closure of Buxton Road.

Temporary traffic lights will be in use as necessary on the A140 Cromer Road as work continues ahead of two weeks of A140 overnight closures (8pm to 6am) in September (dates under review) for the tie-in of the new north roundabout and short stretch of dual carriageway that will take Cromer Road over the A1270 NDR on the new bridge.
