Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has won a ‘Pennies from Heaven’ bronze award in recognition of the payroll donations made to charity by its employees.

Kate Frost, Director of Pennies from Heaven said: “The popularity of the scheme not only reflects the generosity of NNUH staff but also the tremendous effort the Trust has made in communicating and promoting the scheme.

“Approximately 10% of NNUH staff currently round down their salaries every month and donate their ‘spare’ pennies to charity via the Pennies from Heaven scheme. Of course, the real winners are your nominated charities and to date you have raised over £35,100 which will have made a significant difference to them.”

Louise Cook, Fundraising Manager at NNUH said: “Each year our staff select two charities which benefit from the donations made through Pennies from Heaven. Many hospital charities have benefitted and the funds enable us to improve the experience for patients and enhance the care we provide.”
