Police are appealing for witnesses following a hate crime which happened on the cycle path near Dereham Road in Norwich on Saturday (27 February 2021).

A man was walking along the cycle path between Beecheno Road and Dereham Road around 8.30am when two men approached and made transphobic comments to his partner, a scuffle ensued, resulting in the man sustaining minor injuries to his hand.

Both men were described as white, one was nearly 6ft tall, of stocky build, aged in his mid to late 40s, had short dark hair which was greying and was wearing a light grey sweater. The second man was slightly shorter, wearing a black hoodie, black tracksuit bottoms and glasses.

A woman aged in her 40s, described as quite short with greying hair, checked if the victim and his partner were ok after the incident.
