Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision between a moped and car yesterday afternoon (20 April) on Dereham Road in the Costessey area.

The collision took place at 12.38pm near to the Roundwell Medical Centre towards Longwater between a black Honda moped and a silver Ford Focus. The moped rider, a man in his 30s, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital by air ambulance.

Police are asking for any details about the manner of driving of the vehicles prior to the collision and of the collision itself or any dash cam footage.
