MADE IN DAGENHAM – JANUARY 28-FEBRUARY 1

The search is on for two young people to star in a musical production set to take to the stage at Norwich Theatre Royal.

Children under the age of 16 are needed to take on the roles of Graham and Sharon O’Grady in Made In Dagenham, which takes to the stage in early 2020.

Graham is aged about 10 with an Essex accent and is a bit of a cheeky chancer getting his sister to do his homework and sometimes finds himself in trouble at the posh school he attends.
Meanwhile Sharon is about eight. Resourceful and confident, she has ambitions to be a doctor.

The Norfolk and Norwich Operatic Society, which is presenting the show, is looking for confident young performers to take on the roles which will each require some singing.

The young people who are selected will then get the chance to work with the long-established society and professional director/choreographer Chris Cuming, who has directed the NNOS’s last two productions.
Chris said it will be a fantastic opportunity. He said: “Made In Dagenham is a moving true story acted through song. This is a great chance for local young people to show off their acting skills on stage at Norwich Theatre Royal.”
