Police investigating an arson attack at a mosque in Norwich have made an arrest.

The incident happened in the early hours of Monday 27 July at the former King Edward VII pub on Aylsham Road which is currently being converted into a mosque. A fire was started in an outbuilding causing damage.

Following enquiries, officers arrested a 54-year-old man in Norwich on Friday night (14 August) on suspicion of arson. The man was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and later released on bail until 11 September while enquiries continue.
