Norfolk’s favourite comedy duo, Karl Minns and Owen Evans, aka The Nimmo Twins, will be taking to two Norwich Theatre stages: the Playhouse (3 – 21 Aug) and for one night only theTheatre Royal (23 Aug) with a brand new show full of ridiculously witty sketches, running jokes and shambling characters.
For 25 years the twins have mercilessly mocked traffic chaos; planning wrangles; local news and even celebrities. To celebrate making the county laugh for more than two decades, The Nimmo Twins will unleash a brand new show Holt? Who Goes There? on the citizens of Norfolk.
Speaking about being together for 25 years Karl Minns said: “It is slightly unbelievable and exciting. The time has flown by and the idea that we are still going 25 years later is slightly bizarre. I like to think the shows have got better. We are sort of like a fine wine and getting better with age.”
This is the first new show The Nimmo Twins have produced in six years and will see new characters as well as old favourites including, She Go, The Council, Billy Boy, Anne and Tom Bland.
Talking about the new show Owen Evans said: “Expect the expected! There are lots of new twists on favourite old characters a fair amount of poetry and a bit of social conscience as well this time.”
The pair will tackle the big issues of the day including global catastrophes like the retirement of Stewart White, and make you feel better about local government, NCFC, and people from out of town.
