Patrons at venues across Norwich have raised a total of £4711 for the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund, which was set up by the British Red Cross and Manchester City Council following the Manchester Arena incident.

The venues who supported the collection were the Maddermarket Theatre, Norfolk & Norwich Festival, Norwich Arts Centre, Norwich Cathedral, Norwich Playhouse, Norwich Puppet Theatre, Norwich Theatre Royal, The Halls, The Garage and Writers Centre Norwich.

Stephen Crocker, chief executive of Norwich Theatre Royal, said: “Thank you so much to all of the venues that took part and all of our audiences who have supported so generously. It is fantastic that we can send some practical support through the funds we have raised as well as a strong message of solidarity to Manchester.”
