Police have charged two men with drug and motoring offences as part of Operation Gravity.
It comes after officers stopped a Mini Cooper on the A11 near Norwich last night (Monday 4 June 2018) at about 8.15pm for traffic offences.
The driver subsequently failed a roadside drugs test and was arrested for driving and drug offences while the passenger was also arrested on suspicion of drug offences.
Police dog Zuma was deployed to search the vehicle which resulted in in officers seizing 371 wraps of crack cocaine and just over 7 grams of heroin.
Both were taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and were later charged.
Mohamed Hassan, 24, of Windsor Crescent, Wembley, is accused of;
· Possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply (diamorphine)
· Possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply (crack cocaine)
· Driving without a licence
· Driving without insurance
· Driving without an MoT
Hiward Yarkhil, 22 of Golders Manor Drive, London, is accused of;
· Possession of a Class B drug (cannabis)
· Possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply (diamorphine)
· Possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply (crack cocaine)
Hassan and Yarkhil have been remanded in police custody to appear at Norwich Magistrates Court this morning (Tuesday 5 June 2018).
