RUSSELL KANE – MAY 26

Multi-award-winning comedian, presenter, actor, author and scriptwriter Russell Kane is heading back to Norwich Theatre Royal.

His brand new show takes to the stage on Sunday May 26 at 8pm and promises to look at love, family and life while also packing more energy than a Duracell factory.

Tickets for the show go on sale on Friday 21 Sept at 9.30am with a proportion held off sale for Friends of the theatre when the new brochure launches this autumn.

Russell is known for a wealth of TV appearances in the likes of the BBC’s Live At The Electric and Live At The Apollo as well as ITV2’s cult comedy panel show Celebrity Juice and the I’m A Celebrity spin-off show I’m A Celebrity..Get Me Out Of Here Now.

He is also a highly-acclaimed comedian winning Best Show at the 2010 Edinburgh Comedy Awards, and went on to become the first person to win both that title and Melbourne Comedy Festival’s Barry Award.

The popular star has also published his first novel The Humorist as well as writing, directing and starring in three plays.

He also recently travelled the world with YouTube stars filming the survival show Stupid Man, Smart Phone for BBC Three, as well as presenting for Virgin Radio.

Russell’s visit comes days after the announcement that fellow comedian Nish Kumar is also heading to the Theatre Royal for a live date on March 21 at 7.30pm.

Entitled It’s In Your Nature To Destroy Yourselves, it will take a look at politics, mankind’s capacity for self-destruction and whether it will lead to the end of the world.

Host of The Mash Report, Nish has also been seen on a wide range of TV and online shows including Live At The Apollo, Taskmaster, Have I Got News For You, and Netflix show Joel & Nish Vs The World.
