Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault, which occurred in Norwich city centre yesterday, Sunday 30 July 2017.

 

The incident happened sometime between 12.30am and 1am, when the victim, a man aged in his late teens, was walking along Castle Meadow heading towards Prince of Wales Road with his two friends.

 

Two males have approached the victim from the other direction and a verbal altercation has broken out.

 

This resulted in the victim suffering a puncture wound to his left arm, which is believed to have been caused by a knife.

 

The suspect fled the scene and the victim was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for treatment.

 

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the assault.
