Two women have been arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage following incidents at County Hall and City Hall in Norwich.

Police were called to County Hall on Martineau Lane following an incident at about 3.15pm yesterday (Monday 15 February 2021) where pink paint had been thrown inside the main foyer, covering windows and floors.

A short time later at 3.50pm, suspects went to City Hall on St Peters Street throwing pink paint over the main doors.

Police arrested two women in connection with the incidents after they attended Wymondham Police Investigation Centre at about 6.20pm. Both remain in custody and will be questioned today.

Suspects bailed over pink paint damage, Norwich

Two women arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage at City Hall and County Hall in Norwich have been released on bail.

It follows incidents at County Hall on Martineau Lane and City Hall in St Peters Street on Monday afternoon (15 February 2021) pink paint was thrown at the buildings.

Police arrested two women in connection with the incidents after they attended Wymondham Police Investigation Centre at about 6.20pm on Monday.

Both women, aged 27 and 50, were questioned by officers and released on bail until Wednesday 10 March while enquiries continue.
