Hit and Run Audi driver caught and charged by Police

A man has been charged following a fail-to-stop road traffic collision in Norwich over the weekend. Officers were called just after 5am on Sunday 27 August 2017 to reports a black Audi had been in collision with a male pedestrian in the Rose Lane area. As a result the pedestrian suffered serious leg and head injuries. He was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for treatment, where he remains. 30-year-old Ricky Sutton, of Civic Gardens in Norwich, was arrested in connection with the incident and was taken to Aylsham Police Investigation Centre for questioning. Camera and computer equipment stolen in burglary, Norwich

Witnesses are being sought after computer and camera equipment was stolen during a burglary in Norwich last week.   The incident happened at a property in Sandringham Court, off Ipswich Road, between midday on Monday and 10.30pm on Wednesday (21-23 August).   Suspect(s) entered the property and carried out an untidy search before stealing an Asus laptop, Canon EOS 5D digital camera and a microphone.   Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident, noticed anything unusual in the area between the dates stated, or has been offered the stolen property for sale.  ...

Two per cent rise in ambulance calls over bank holiday weekend

Ambulance service bosses have thanked the public for choosing wisely, after seeing just a 2 per cent increase in 999 calls compared to last year’s bank holiday weekend. The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST) received 7,976 emergency calls over the course of the three-day bank holiday. Saturday, 26th August, was the busiest day with more than 2,600 calls received and the Trust sent a response to 2,183 incidents that day.
