New recruits are being sought to join Norfolk’s team of more than 200 committed Special Constables. Norfolk’s Special Constabulary is hosting a recruitment evening on Tuesday 27th June 2017 at 7pm in The Forum, Norwich. Norwich man sentenced to life behind bars

Murderer Joe Storey   A Norwich man has been sentenced to life behind bars after murdering his former partner. Joe Storey, 27, who at the beginning of the trial pleaded guilty to manslaughter but denied murdering 32-year-old Kerri McAuley, was convicted on Thursday 15 June 2017 by unanimous jury in less than an hour following a two-week trial at Norwich Crown Court. Appeal after serious collision in Norwich

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Norwich yesterday (Sunday 18 June 2017). It happened on Barrett Road (A146) at the junction with Mansfield Road at approximately 7.30am. A blue VW Passat, travelling along towards Martineau Lane, and a red BSA motorcycle, travelling in the opposite direction, were involved in a collision. The motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, suffered serious injuries to his right lower leg and was taken by ambulance to Norfolk and Norwich Hospital where he continues to be treated.
