Norfolk’s Fire and Rescue Team to hold Firefighter Recruitment Events

  Norfolk’s Fire and Rescue Team are running awareness evenings in Kings Lynn and Norwich this week in a bid to attract new wholetime firefighters. The aim is to enable people who may not have considered a career as a firefighter to visit a fire station, meet some of our firefighters, find out more about the role, career opportunities and what is involved in the recruitment process. The service is keen to encourage more women and people from diverse ethnic and international backgrounds to apply to become firefighters. CCTV released in burglary investigation – Norwich

CCTV image – supplied by Norfolk Constabulary Officers have released an image of two men they would like to speak to in connection with a burglary which occurred in Thorpe Hamlet last month. The incident happened in Geoffrey Watling Way on Friday 28 October 2016 between 2.15pm and 3pm. A property has been broken into and several watches and sunglasses have been stolen. Man sentenced for voyeurism offences

A man from Walsall was sentenced on Thursday 24 November 2016 after secretly filming students from the University of East Anglia. 23-year-old Luke Mallaband of Yew Tree Road, Walsall, appeared at Norwich Magistrates Court where he was sentenced to a three year community order. Mallaband had pleaded guilty to six voyeurism offences; four counts of recording a private act and two counts of installing equipment, committed between 2012 and 2016. Appeal for 4×4 driver after A140 fatal crash, Horsham St Faith

Police investigating a fatal crash which happened at Horsham St Faith on Saturday (19 November) are appealing for help to trace the driver of a 4×4. The incident happened on the A140 at about 8am when a black Honda Civic travelling towards Norwich and a red LDV Maxus van travelling in the opposite direction were involved in a crash. The driver and passenger of the Honda, brothers Sam and Shane Nobbs, aged 20 and 23, were pronounced dead at the scene while the driver of the van, a man in his 40s, suffered serious life-changing injuries.
